Tell us 3 things about yourself:
- As well as my design side, I’m a full-time wedding photographer.
- I’m obsessed with Autumn and love everything about it (especially PSLs)
- Despite my photography/design journey, I have a bachelors degree in Computer Science with Multimedia and I LOVE coding websites (I know, total nerd right?)
What inspired you? What is your 'why'?
I feel that we have so many gems around us, mainly the Quran, to inspire our everyday lives. I started drawing/writing verses from the Quran or Hadith that resonated with me and put them up all around my room. My friends then started asking me to do some pieces for them, and would say how much they loved having Allah’s words around them. And this is my why, being involved in someone’s journey of remembering their creator is the biggest blessing & honour I could ever ask for!
Tell us about the inspiration behind your pieces!
When I was thinking about what route I wanted to go down with this collection, I wanted my pieces to be a sense of peace and calmness to people’s homes, I then thought of the Quran Ayaat ‘verily, in the remembrance of Allah, do hearts find peace’ [13.28]. After thinking more about this, I thought of how I could encourage people through my pieces to remember Allah. I was reading about Imam Ali and how he would supplicate to Allah while doing the most simple of tasks in his daily life and I wanted to explore this and encourage my self and others to do the same, this is where the DHIKR collection came from.
What, in your opinion, differentiates you from anyone else in your niche?
I feel that with Art or anything creative, it’s so important to be true to yourself and your style and express yourself through your work and I think that makes each artist’s work so different from each others’.
What made you want to collab with ZUDO? How was your experience?
Like I said above, one of the main things that inspires me is having reminders from the Quran around me, and so ever since I came across ZUDO, and saw their stunning pieces which connect you to your creator, I knew I loved everything they stood for. When I was approached, I knew ZUDO was the perfect fit for me and thought it worked so well with my vision! My experience has been great, the people behind ZUDO are so wonderful and supportive and have truly made me feel like part of the team. I also love the story of how ZUDO started!!
Do you work with any other brands or NPO that people can support you through?

What is one thing that will always bring a smile to your face, even if you're having a hard day!
Supplication always makes me happy! The 15 whispered prayers from Sahifa Sajjadiya are my go-to, specifically the whispered prayer of the hopeful! Always puts a smile on my face! I’d encourage everyone to give them a go :)
What is a life motto / quote that resonates with you through every phase of life?
‘And to your Lord alone, turn all your intentions and hopes’ [94.8]
